When the Fujifilm RAW files (*.RAF) from their X-Trans sensor first appeared, there were some issues for working with these files with some RAW developers/editors. This photo essay will try to look into how different developers work with a RAF file, plus whether the differences in shadow quality are significant. The Fuji camera is the X-T20 with 18-55 kit lens. The Olympus is the older E-M5 with the Panasonic 12-60 f/3.5-5.6 zoom. In all cases the Fuji image is on the left and the Oly on the right side. Click on an image for a enlarged view
